We hope that each and every one of you, your employees and families are safe and remain healthy. This global crisis is impacting all industries worldwide. We are seeing the effect in our daily lives as well as businesses. ASA / ASACB has created a COVID-19 resource page on its website which includes updated information on SBA loans. This information is also being shared across our social media platforms. Be sure to follow us on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram for the latest information from ASA/ASACB.

As reports come out of China, we see the COVID-19 virus has a shelf life and while there are trying days/weeks ahead of us, rest assured this pandemic has an end date.

ASACB Audit Management and Performance Update

The International Aerospace Quality Group Other Party Management Team (IAQG OPMT) has provided alleviations to certification bodies that has been adopted and clarified by accreditation bodies worldwide.

Request to Postpone Audit

Organizations that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and are considering a postponement or delay in a scheduled audit within the next 2-3 months due to imposed restrictions such as work from home, no access to facility by visitors or business shut down can request an audit delay via our survey link. ASACB will review your responses and perform a risk assessment to determine which alleviation authorized by the IAQG and ANAB is appropriate.

ASA / ASACB is in the process of adding more online training courses to our Learning Management System (LMS). Below are the courses currently being developed with a focus on parts-based organizations:

  • SMS introduction
  • Dangerous Goods Introduction
  • Counterfeit Parts and Materials

Announcements regarding the availability of these courses will be sent via email direct to Member, Accredited and Certified organizations as well as our website and social media platforms mentioned earlier.

ASA / ASACB is also developing free training webinars on a variety of industry topics. This is being done to support our industry that has been greatly impacted by reductions in orders and limits placed on non-essential travel and spending. Training webinar topics and schedules will be listed on our website and made public via email and social media.
