ASA maintains 4 publicly accessible lists. ASA does not sell company data of any organization using ASA services including member companies; audit clients; AC 00-56 registered companies; and companies who attend an ASA event including all training, conferences, or networking.
Membership in the Association is subject to the rules and governing documents of the Association. ASA does not discriminate based on factors outside of those rules and governing documents. A company being listed on the member list should not be the only factor evaluated when approving a company for a business transaction as there may be legal requirements that must be checked and other business factors that should be evaluated.
ASA-100 Companies are those that participate in the ASA-100 Accreditation Program (ASAAP). Most certificates are for 3 years. For a company to be accredited to ASA-100, the company is audited by an ASA approved ASA-100 auditor to the requirements of ASA-100 and AC 00-56. The ASA-100 certificate includes a statement of compliance to FAA AC 00-56. A company being listed on the ASA-100 list should not be the only factor evaluated when approving a company for a business transaction as there may be legal requirements that must be checked and other business factors that should be evaluated.
The FAA has designated ASA as the database manager for companies that are seeking to be accredited to FAA AC 00-56. ASA publishes the information that is required to be submitted as per FAA AC 00-56. ASA only verifies that the documentation are submitted in accordance with the submission requirements as detailed in AC 00-56.
