The U.S. Department of Transportation (US DOT) requires that all individuals engaged in handling hazardous materials be trained at least once every three (3) years. The FAA has suggested that many aviation companies are HazMat employers by virtue of the wide variety of materials received, which could include HazMat. This course will provide the fundamentals of hazardous materials handling, marking, reporting and transporting.
Hazmat training is conducted by the Washington Aviation Group. The agenda and registration link will redirect you to the Washington Aviation Group's website. ASA members receive discounted rates.
The cost of the course includes digital materials, but the attendee agrees to provide their own copy of the most current Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) Manual. Please see the course registration form for details regarding the required manual. The attendee will be expected have the correct DGR Manual prior to the class. NOTE: IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO COMPLETE THE CLASS WITHOUT THE CORRECT DGR MANUAL.
For questions regarding Hazmat Training please email Katt Brigham or call the Washington Aviation Group at 202-628-6777.
