How long Deos it Take to Contact your Members of Congress? Faster than getting an indurance quote!
We’ve asked our members to communicate their thoughts to their members of Congress. We are all busy trying to plan for the changing landscape of aviation, so I am sure that a lot of you have thought this might take too much time. So after getting out a series of trade association emails and postal letters to Congressional offices, I decided to send personal letters to my Congressman and two Senators, asking each of them to help the aviation supply chain.
The whole process took less than 15 minutes. That time included editing the template letter to suit my needs (including a personal message for my Congressman, who is a friend from my law school days).
It doesn’t have to take long to communicate your message – especially if you make use of the resources ASA has provided; but communicating that message is vitally important.
ASA has developed resource to help you communicate with your members of Congress, including:
- General instructions for communicating your concerns to Congress
- Instructions for identifying and contacting your members of Congress
- An email template explaining the situation and asking for assistance to be targeted to the aviation supply chain
- A letter template explaining the situation and asking for assistance to be targeted to the aviation supply chain
Let them know what you are thinking and what your business needs to survive!
